Regular fleet renewal is central to the success of ASHBROOK, a market-leading plant hire firm based in the Northwest of England. During the latest round of renewals in the site dumper element of the fleet, one particular JCB 9T-2 has been elevated to ‘special’ status by claiming the fleet number D300.
‘The significance of this is that it is our 300th site dumper to join the Congleton part of our fleet since 2016, when we introduced this type of fleet registration into the business’, say Andrew Aldcroft, ASHBROOK Director.
‘The 9T-2 is not a new type of machine to us, but as we like to keep our vehicles fresh through regular renewal and frequent servicing, we’re really pleased to welcome more’, continues Andy.
‘It’s an extremely tough machine and works well in a hire fleet. Not only is it the largest site dumper in the JCB range, it’s also extremely powerful and productive. As the name suggests it has a payload of 9,000kg and with a turning radius of 6.3m it’s great for medium and large sites.’
‘Safety is a key priority for ASHBROOK, and we want all our machines to provide maximum safety on site. Therefore, it’s great that this dumper comes with JCB SiTESAFE cab, front camera to expand the operator’s visibility, wind-screen grill protectors, and a two-stage drive inhibit system.’
‘Furthermore, in winter, or the summer, for that matter, in the UK, when the ground starts to churn after lots of rain it’s great to know that JCB have specifically developed this site dumper to have maximum off-road performance. They’ve done this by maximising the wheel-to-ground contact through the development of large oscillation angles, so you don’t find yourself stuck.’
‘If you’d like to find out more, check out our website or contact our hire desks today’, concludes Andy.
