Reach and boom information

The boom has a maximum extension of 7m with max lift value of 4,100kg, making the JCB 541-70 capable of most on-farm jobs.  For extra strength, the number of joints and stress points across the integrated boom nose have been reduced.  There’s also a tough inverted U-shaped boom pressing, fully welded closing plates, and large boom overlaps of more than 1m.

JCB is well versed in the rigours of farm work, having produced telescopic handlers since the 1970s.  Consequently, the hoses on the AGRI models are routed through the boom for maximum protection.  In addition, engine bonnets are protected from damage by being side-mounted on the chassis and recessed.

Material is ejected in a controlled manner through the use of JCB’s Auto Bucket Control technology.  Therefore, it makes it easier to meter out or fully empty material from the bucket or manure fork via a feature button on the joystick.

Smart Hydraulics help to ensure the very fastest cycle times, keeping farm output high.  While boom end damping reduces material loss by enhancing the smoothness of boom lift and retract.

For maximum rear-view visibility, the boom is mounted low in the chassis.  In fact, this also gives the additional benefit of providing an extremely rigid structure.  Whilst centralised lift, tilt, and extension rams eliminate boom twisting and are held in place by centrally-mounted keyhole castings for even greater structural integrity.

Site versatility

As with all JCB telehandlers, this model has three selectable steer modes:

  • Two-wheel steer, which is ideal for travelling at high speed on the road
  • Four-wheel steer for working in tight spaces
  • Crab steer for manoeuvring close to walls and farm buildings.

Coming with 4WD as standard the 541-70 Agri Super can work efficiently and effectively on soft ground and slippery surfaces.

The fuel efficiency of this model is legendary and the EcoMAX engine produces high power and torque at low revs.  Resulting in a reputation of a machine that delivers more work for less engine exertion, thus saving the operator fuel.

The JCB 541-70 telehandler comes with pallet forks and is quickhitch enabled.  Additional attachments, such as muck grabs, grain buckets, and more are available, ask our hire team for information.

Operator comfort

Like the JCB 541-70 Quasi Ag, this model also assures operator comfort with its modern cab, which boasts a simple layout, new single lever controls, well-lit switches and a hi-res TFT screen.  All are designed to reduce operator fatigue.  In fact, testing shows that it reduces this by 8% versus previous models.  Thus resulting in raised concentration levels and farm safety.

ASHBROOK telehandlers are supplied with JCB Livelink technology.  Therefore ensuring the best customer service for our customers.
