Boasting a C3.9B ACERT Tier 4 Final/ Stage IV diesel engine with a fully automatic 4-speed transmission, this next generation dozer can save you money, increase productivity and reduce operator fatigue.

How does it do this?

• It’s automatically efficient, you don’t worry about changing gears. A smooth-shifting, fully automatic 4-speed transmission with a lock-up clutch automatically optimizes based on load for the greatest productivity and fuel efficiency.
• The D6 saves you fuel by continuously adjusting to give you maximum efficiency without losing power to the ground.
• Therefore, it’s easy on your operators with less effort for experienced staff and faster proficiency for those newer to the job, by setting ground and off they go.

The ASHBROOK versions of the CAT D6 LGP VPAT (Low Ground Pressure – Variable Pitch, Angle, and Tilt) have a foldable blade allowing width reduction for transportation to 2,960mm – meaning that no escort vehicles are required when transporting.

In addition, the redesign of this next generation bulldozer has produced a stronger, lighter VPAT structure to give the operator a better balance for grading. An extra benefit is that with this model there is no need for a rear implement or counterweight as the machine balance is optimised for grading.

• Slope indicate shows machine cross-slope and fore/aft orientation right on the main display to help operators with slope work.
• Stable Blade has been improved to make it even easier to get smoother surfaces faster when operating manually. It works seamlessly with operator blade inputs to help reduce imperfections and produce a smoother surface.
• Blade Load Monitor gives you real-time feedback on the current load versus the optimal blade load. All this is based on your ground conditions. In addition, it actively monitors machine load and track slip to help you reach optimal pushing capacity.
• Cat Grade with Slope Assist automatically maintains the operator’s pre-established blade position without a GPS signal. Therefore you’re able to put it to work building pads, creating simple design plans on the go, or working where GPS is unavailable.
• All Cat Grade systems are compatible with radios and base stations from Trimble, Topcon, and Leica.

To aid comfort a wide air-suspension seat allows the operator to adjust to their desired position, plenty of adjustments. There is also additional storage space versus earlier models, along with updated heating/cooling which helps to reduce window fogging/frosting as well as supporting operator comfort.
